Job summary

TOM People is recruiting a Finance Manager for a forward-looking organisation. The role is broad, hands-on and focused on financial reporting, controls, audit, and finance transformation initiatives.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will manage the monthly close, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting and drive process improvements across the finance function while mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with post-qualification experience.
• Experience delivering monthly close and management reporting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to identify process improvements in finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close cycle and management reporting process.
• Analyse financial results and provide insight into key business performance drivers.
• Manage balance sheet controls and ensure reconciliation issues are resolved promptly.
• Support statutory reporting, audit activities and compliance requirements.

• Mentor and support junior members of the finance team.

We are working with an innovative organisation with a clear vision for the future to source a Finance Manager.

This is a broad and hands-on role with responsibility for financial reporting, financial controls, audit management, process improvement, and finance transformation initiatives.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information, maintaining robust financial controls, supporting audit and compliance activities, and contributing to ongoing finance transformation projects.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Approx. 5 years'+ post-qualified experience
• Strong background in financial reporting and controls.
• Experience managing month-end activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel and strong systems aptitude.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and solutions-focused.
