Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial reporting, accounting, budgeting and regulatory compliance for its Irish operations. The role partners with senior stakeholders, regulators and group finance to deliver accurate insights and robust controls.

The ideal candidate will have ACA/ACCA/CIMA, 10+ years in financial services, and a proven track record of senior-level financial leadership with strong governance.

Qualifications

  • Ideally 10+ years' experience within a financial services finance environment.
  • Proven experience operating at a senior level with responsibility for financial management and reporting.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience across financial reporting, accounting, budgeting and financial controls.
  • Good understanding of regulatory reporting and governance within a financial services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial management and reporting activities for the Irish business.
  • Lead the preparation, review and delivery of accurate financial reporting, management accounts and annual financial statements.
  • Conduct regular reviews of P&L performance with business leaders, providing analysis and insight to support improved performance and decision-making.
  • Support the development and implementation of the business strategy through robust financial analysis and commercial insight.
  • Manage accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
  • Develop, implement and maintain appropriate financial policies, procedures and controls.
  • Oversee financial regulatory reporting requirements and ensure submissions are accurate, complete and delivered within required deadlines.
  • Manage the preparation and review of tax returns and related tax governance requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, professional advisers, regulators and group finance functions as required.
  • Respond to technical queries from regulatory and tax authorities to a high standard and within specified timelines.
  • Work closely with compliance, risk and legal to identify, manage and mitigate financial and tax-related risks.
  • Maintain a strong financial control and governance framework across the business.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and financial systems.
  • Keep up to date with relevant accounting, tax and regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
  • Provide expert finance advice to senior stakeholders and act as a trusted business partner across the organisation.
  • Promote a strong culture of accuracy, integrity, accountability and sound financial judgement.

Job description

Our client is a well-established banking and financial services institution with a significant international footprint and operations in Ireland. They are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take responsibility for the oversight and management of financial activities, including financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, regulatory reporting and tax.

This is a senior finance position with significant exposure to the Irish business, senior stakeholders, group functions and external regulators.
