Job summary

A fast-growing, project-led business seeks a Finance Manager to lead a small finance team and take ownership of reporting and analysis. The role reports to the Financial Controller and sits as No.

2 in Finance, with 2 direct reports and responsibility for key month-end and board reporting. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cash flow management, while strengthening controls and partnering with operations across the business.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA – essential.
• Strong management and financial reporting experience.
• Confident reviewing and taking ownership of team outputs.
• Commercial, hands-on and comfortable working across the business.
• Engineering, construction or another project-led background advantageous.
• Project accounting/CVR experience beneficial.

Job description

I'm partnering with a fast-growing, project-led business to appoint a Finance Manager into a newly created role.

This is a genuine No.2 position within Finance, reporting directly to the Financial Controller and managing 2 direct reports.

The key focus will be financial reporting, team management and delivering accurate, insightful information to support the business.

The role:

• Lead and develop 2 direct reports
• Own monthly management accounts and reporting
• Prepare Board reporting and analysis
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Balance sheet and month-end review
• Cash flow and working capital reporting
• Strengthen controls, processes and reporting

What I'm looking for:
