Amicus are working closely with a market-leading FMCG business based in Dublin West, responsible for producing some of the nation’s most recognised and trusted household brands, to recruit a high-caliber Financial Manager. Our client's products are integrated into the daily routines of millions of consumers. To support their ongoing commercial success, they maintain a fast-paced, collaborative work environment where the finance department acts as a core pillar for strategic decisions, operational efficiency, and sustainable business growth

Purpose of the Role:

Working in close partnership with the Financial Controller, the Financial Manager will oversee the integrity of day-to-day financial operations. The primary objective is to maintain impeccable financial controls and deliver insights that keep the business moving forward. This position is ideal for a proactive finance professional who wants to take full ownership of the month-end lifecycle, spearhead process improvements, and collaborate cross-functionally to protect and optimise financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Month-End & Financial Reporting: Drive the close process by executing monthly journal entries, compiling management accounts, and ensuring all ledger reconciliations are completed flawless
  • Commercial Balance Sheet Management: Oversee complex sector‑specific balance sheet items, specifically managing the monthly tracking, reconciliation, and auditing of commercial trade spend, commercial rebates, and prepayments.
  • CAPEX & Intercompany Operations: Review internal capital expenditure proposals, track ongoing project spend against forecasts, and align all intercompany accounts monthly.
  • Compliance & Statutory Governance: Author year‑end statutory financial reports, manage the relationship with external auditors, and handle the accurate submission of monthly/bi‑monthly tax and revenue returns.
  • Forward Planning & Operational Support: Partner with the leadership team during annual budget cycles and offer versatile operational support across the broader finance team, including assisting with payroll workflows.
  • Change Integration: Evaluate current workflows to identify system or procedural inefficiencies, serving as an internal champion for modernised financial processes.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Fully qualified accountant holding an ACA, ACCA, or CIMA credential.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of post-qualified experience, explicitly gained within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
  • Prior experience utilising an integrated enterprise ERP network (exposure to IFS is a major advantage) coupled with advanced‑level data handling skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong relational skills to influence stakeholders outside of finance, paired with the commercial maturity to make sound business decisions under pressure.
