Job summary

Bystronic Group is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to service, install and commission our press brakes across customer sites. You will diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and software faults, perform upgrades and support customers with hands-on training.

The role requires reading electrical and hydraulic documentation, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to travel within the region up to 90% with a company vehicle and full toolset provided.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic or a related engineering field.
• 3+ years of industrial machinery maintenance, installation or field service experience.
• Experience with press brakes, CNC machinery or similar industrial equipment preferred.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and mechanical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, install and commission Bystronic press brakes.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and software faults.
• Perform machine modifications, updates and retrofits.
• Configure CNC/PLC systems and machine parameters.
• Carry out software updates and verify correct machine operation.
• Train customers on machine operation, safety and maintenance.
• Complete service reports and update CRM.
• Order required spare parts and share technical knowledge with colleagues.
