Job summary

Unipharmedtech is seeking a Field Based Service Engineer to install, maintain and repair a broad range of medical devices across Ireland. The role requires travel, troubleshooting complex hardware and software, and ensuring adherence to calibration and ISO procedures.

You will work closely with sales and customers to assess installation requirements, provide training, and support demonstrations. A biomedical/electronics/engineering background and a valid driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

  • Background in Biomedical/Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation engineering.
  • Field service experience with medical devices is a plus.
  • Strong fault diagnosis and resolution for hardware and software (Windows-based) issues.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, maintain and repair a wide range of medical devices and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot to identify root causes and ensure rapid commissioning of devices.
  • Liaise with sales, customers and suppliers for installations and training.
  • Manage and update calibration, test records and ISO-compliant paperwork.
  • Provide customer training, demonstrations and support at trade shows as required.
