Job summary

Berkley Group in Ireland is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join its growing construction solutions team. This field-based role combines business development, client relationship management and project delivery, with substantial travel to live project sites nationwide.

You will identify new opportunities, develop existing client accounts and manage projects from award to completion, by engaging architects, engineers and contractors and delivering CPD presentations to drive

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, sales, account management or client relationship management.
• Experience within construction, engineering, building products or another technical environment.
• Exposure to project management, construction projects or site-based works.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with architects, engineers, contractors and design consultancies.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the construction sector, particularly within pharmaceutical and data centre projects.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential projects and clients.
• Deliver presentations and CPD sessions to architects, engineers and other industry professionals.
• Develop existing client accounts and identify opportunities for additional business.
• Follow up on quotations and opportunities to help convert them into confirmed projects.
• Maintain accurate sales and business development activity through the CRM.
• Provide feedback on market trends, competitors and upcoming projects.
• Manage assigned projects from award through to completion.
• Regularly visit project sites and coordinate installation activities.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout project delivery.
• Monitor project timelines and identify potential delays or issues early.
• Coordinate and close outstanding snagging items.
• Ensure projects are completed to the required quality and client standards.
• Support the identification and onboarding of suitable installation contractors.
• Provide clear progress updates on projects and commercial activity.
