Job summary

Elite Talent Hub Recruitment seeks a General Services Manager for a large pharmaceutical site in Co. Cork. You will be the single point of contact for all IFM services, leading a site team of 120+ and ensuring GMP/GDP compliance.

The role focuses on commercial delivery, P&L management, client relationships and driving continuous improvement across the contract while working on site in Ireland.

Qualifications

• ≥5 years' experience in a regulated environment with GMP and GDP across warehousing.
• Proven track record in outsourced FM or contract services.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with P&L experience.
• Exceptional client relationship management and ability to grow contracts.
• Experience leading large, diverse teams.
• Desirable NEBOSH/IWFM qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multiple IFM services across the site to agreed SLAs.
• Own contract outputs, including variation control and KPI rewards/penalties.
• Prepare monthly P&Ls, forecasts, budgets and month-end reports.
• Manage monthly billing, invoicing and the aged debt profile using SAP.
• Build strong client relationships and run performance reviews.
• Identify opportunities to grow the contract with additional services.
• Ensure GMP and GDP compliance for regulated activities.
• Own risk register and business continuity plans.
• Lead and develop a diverse site team; collaborate with HR, Finance, Technical Services, HS&E and Quality.
• Drive continuous improvement and share best practices.

Elite Talent Hub is a specialist in permanent staffing solutions for clients both nationally and internationally.

Our client is a leading international facilities management and services provider.

They are recruiting a General Services Manager for a large, regulated pharmaceutical site in Co. Cork.

You will be the single point of contact for all integrated facilities management (IFM) services on site.

You will lead a site team of over 120 people, supported by a Technical Services & Projects Manager and two Assistant General Services Managers.

This is a senior, commercially focused role for an FM leader with strong GMP and GDP experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of multiple IFM services across the site, to agreed quality standards, SLAs and contract scope.
• Take full responsibility for contract outputs, including variation control, payment mechanisms and KPI-linked rewards and penalties.
• Prepare monthly contract P&Ls, forecasts, budgets and month-end reports for the client and the business.
• Manage monthly billing, invoicing and the aged debt profile, using SAP reporting.
• Build strong client relationships, holding regular performance reviews and supporting monthly client meetings.
• Grow the contract by identifying additional services, scope and efficiencies, and recommending them to the client.
• Ensure GMP and GDP compliance for services supporting the client's regulated activities, such as goods receiving, sampling, warehousing and GMP janitorial services.
• Own the risk register and business continuity plans.
• Manage health and safety, vendor and sub-contractor compliance in line with procedures and statutory requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop a diverse team, covering recruitment, inductions, performance reviews and labour management.
• Work with central specialist teams (HR, Finance, Technical Services, HS&E and Quality) to keep service delivery standardised and compliant.
• Drive continuous improvement and business transformation, and share best practice across the account.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years' experience working and managing in a regulated environment, including GMP and GDP across warehousing operations.
• A proven track record in an outsourced facilities management or contract services environment.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience devising and managing a P&L.
• Exceptional client relationship management skills, with a record of growing contracts and identifying new business.
• Experience initiating and leading demanding business transformation programmes.
• Strong people leadership, with experience managing large, diverse teams.
• The ability to analyse labour use and drive productivity.
• Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills.
• High standards of numeracy and written communication.
• Desirable: a facilities or engineering degree, or a technical background.
• Desirable: experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG sectors.
• Desirable: NEBOSH National General Certificate or Diploma, and IWFM (formerly BIFM) qualifications.
