Job summary

Elite Talent Hub is recruiting a General Services Manager for a large, regulated pharmaceutical site in Co. Cork. You will be the single point of contact for all integrated facilities management (IFM) services on site, leading a team of over 120 people.

This senior role requires GMP and GDP experience, strong commercial acumen, and a track record of growing contracts and delivering on SLAs. On-site, permanent position with excellent benefits and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in regulated environments (GMP/GDP) across warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multiple IFM services across the site to quality standards and SLAs.
• Own contract outputs, including variations, payments and KPI-based rewards/penalties.
• Prepare monthly P&L, forecasts, budgets and month-end client reports.
• Manage monthly billing, invoicing and aged debt using SAP reporting.
• Develop client relationships and lead performance reviews and client meetings.
• Identify opportunities to grow contract through new services and efficiencies.
• Ensure GMP and GDP compliance for regulated activities (receiving, warehousing, janitorial).
• Own risk registers and business continuity plans; manage health, safety and vendor compliance.
• Coach a diverse team, lead recruitment, inductions and performance reviews.

General Services Manager – Co. Cork

Elite Talent Hub is a specialist in permanent staffing solutions for clients both nationally and internationally.

Our client is a leading international facilities management and services provider.

They are recruiting a General Services Manager for a large, regulated pharmaceutical site in Co. Cork.

You will be the single point of contact for all integrated facilities management (IFM) services on site.

You will lead a site team of over 120 people, supported by a Technical Services & Projects Manager and two Assistant General Services Managers.

This is a senior, commercially focused role for an FM leader with strong GMP and GDP experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of multiple IFM services across the site, to agreed quality standards, SLAs and contract scope.
• Take full responsibility for contract outputs, including variation control, payment mechanisms and KPI-linked rewards and penalties.
• Prepare monthly contract P&Ls, forecasts, budgets and month-end reports for the client and the business.
• Manage monthly billing, invoicing and the aged debt profile, using SAP reporting.
• Build strong client relationships, holding regular performance reviews and supporting monthly client meetings.
• Grow the contract by identifying additional services, scope and efficiencies, and recommending them to the client.
• Ensure GMP and GDP compliance for services supporting the client's regulated activities, such as goods receiving, sampling, warehousing and GMP janitorial services.
• Own the risk register and business continuity plans.
• Manage health and safety, vendor and sub-contractor compliance in line with procedures and statutory requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop a diverse team, covering recruitment, inductions, performance reviews and labour management.
• Work with central specialist teams (HR, Finance, Technical Services, HS&E and Quality) to keep service delivery standardised and compliant.
• Drive continuous improvement and business transformation, and share best practice across the account.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years' experience working and managing in a regulated environment, including GMP and GDP across warehousing operations.
• A proven track record in an outsourced facilities management or contract services environment.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience devising and managing a P&L.
• Exceptional client relationship management skills, with a record of growing contracts and identifying new business.
• Experience initiating and leading demanding business transformation programmes.
• Strong people leadership, with experience managing large, diverse teams.
• The ability to analyse labour use and drive productivity.
• Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills.
• High standards of numeracy and written communication.
• Desirable: a facilities or engineering degree, or a technical background.
• Desirable: experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG sectors.
• Desirable: NEBOSH National General Certificate or Diploma, and IWFM (formerly BIFM) qualifications.
