Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking a senior investment fund financial reporting professional to lead complex reporting engagements, review financial statements, and oversee remediation projects.

In this role you will own client relationships, manage multiple concurrent engagements, and help shape the AI-enabled reporting strategy across jurisdictions and asset classes. Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified or IFAC qualification.
• 8+ years of investment fund financial reporting experience, with at least 3 years leading teams and managing multiple clients.
• Deep technical expertise in investment fund financial reporting with US GAAP, IFRS and Lux GAAP; strong commercial acumen and client relationship skills.
• Track record of leading change, managing risk and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills and effective report writing.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI principles, confidentiality, and risk management with ability to translate AI capabilities into practical solutions.
• Experience with fund accounting and period-end/regulatory reporting is desirable.
• Experience leading digital, data, AI, automation and financial reporting transformation within financial services; familiarity with tech-enabled client offerings.

Responsibilities

• Lead fund reporting engagements/projects and maintain accountability for quality, risk, profitability and delivery.
• Review financial statements, disclosures, supporting schedules, and audit packs for completeness and consistency.
• Review complex accounting and disclosure matters across jurisdictions and asset classes.
• Own and develop senior client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Provide leadership on complex accounting, regulatory and reporting matters across jurisdictions and asset classes.
• Set portfolio priorities, resource strategy and quality expectations; develop managers and future leaders.
• Define the AI-enabled financial reporting vision and roadmap in line with firm strategy and client needs.
• Drive AI initiatives and oversee adoption, benefits and risks.
• Provide leadership beyond client delivery through workforce planning, recruitment, performance management and training.
• May be involved in fund accounting engagements and other regulatory reporting activities.
