Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited is seeking an Export Documentation Officer to support our Logistics & Warehousing Team in Bailieborough. The role covers administration, invoicing, stock control, export certification and compliance with HMRC and customs rules.

You will build relationships with hauliers, customers and internal teams, manage shipping schedules, and assist with stock reconciliations.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths & English (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; high numeracy and strong communication/organizational skills.
  • Experience in busy administrative/sales/logistics environment.
  • Third level qualification in Administration, Business, Sales, Finance or Logistics is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth clearance of imports and exports with letters of credit, customs valuation, screening and licences.
  • Develop relationships with hauliers, government agencies, customers and internal teams.
  • Communicate shipping schedules and liaise with customers about delays.
  • Coordinate with Technical team on complaints and product samples.
  • Maintain stock records and assist monthly stock reconciliations.

Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties.

The opportunity:

We are seeking an Export Documentation Officer to support our Logistics & Warehousing Team through a broad range of administrative and customer service activities in Bailieborough.

This role is part of a small team responsible for the administration, invoicing, stock control, export certification and compliance; and smooth delivery of goods to customers across the world, in compliance with HMRC & Customs rules and regulations.

What does success look like in the role? (Not limited to)
  • Responsible for the smooth clearance of imports and exports, dealing with letters of credit, international, country of origin, customs valuation, screening, export classification and licence applications.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with relevant external (and internal) stakeholders including hauliers, government agencies, customers, sales, production and finance teams
  • Ensure effective communication regarding shipping schedules and associated requirements to customers and liaise with customers regarding any delays to planned arrival dates
  • Communicate with Technical department in relation to customer complaints and requests for product samples
  • Review and monitor all power stock produced daily, ensuring all relevant information is recorded
  • Maintain KPIs and inform appropriate stakeholders regarding issues/concerns.
  • Assist with monthly stock reconciliations and complete stock transfer files when applicable
What will you bring to the role?
  • The successful applicant will possess GCSE Math’s & English or equivalent (Grade C or above).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, a high level of numeracy, excellent communication and organizational skills are other essential criteria for this position.
  • Experience of working within a busy fast paced administrative/sales/logistics environment
  • A Third level qualification relevant to the role (e.g. Administration, Business, Sales, Finance, Logistics) is desirable but not essential.
