A leading Dublin-based University is currently seeking a proactive, detail-oriented and service-focused Executive Officer to join their central Academic Registry department within a high-energy, student and faculty-facing service environment.

The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for the Academic Registry. This position offers a varied and challenging workload that is ideal for an administrative professional looking to deepen their expertise within higher education administration in a large-scale, prestigious public sector environment.

The Scope of the Role

The Academic Registry is the operational engine room of the university’s student lifecycle, responsible for everything from registration to graduation. You will balance high-volume data management and digital administrative tasks with direct engagement with students and academic staff, ensuring accurate and timely operational support.

  • Utilise advanced excel functions and student information systems to input, maintain, audit and extract student records, registration data and examination results.
  • Research and resolve complex academic, registration and fees-related inquiries received via email, phone, and in-person consultations.
  • Manage student portal credentials, troubleshoot digital enrollment issues and assist users navigating online academic systems.
  • Administer the practical delivery of student lifecycle milestones, including module enrollment, official transcript issuance and processing deferral or withdrawal requests.
Skills & Requirements:
  • A minimum of one year of experience within a busy academic administration function or extensive experience in a high-volume, data-heavy administrative role.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite - specifically strong Excel skills for data handling, filtering and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex institutional regulations clearly and empathetically to a diverse audience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in numerical and written work, with proven experience navigating complex institutional policies.
  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent is required; a relevant administrative or data-related qualification will be viewed very favourably.
  • A "can-do" attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This is an in-person, office-based role 5 days a week.

Remuneration:
  • Hourly rate of €16.20 p/h paid weekly via Brightwater
Please Note:
