Job summary

ALS Recruiting Ltd in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Road Freight Operator specializing in road imports or road exports. You will own shipments from booking to delivery across Irish and European lanes, with exposure to FTL, LTL, and groupage.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in European road freight forwarding operations in Ireland (imports or exports).
• Solid grasp of post-Brexit customs procedures, Incoterms, transit declarations, and shipping documentation.
• Hands-on experience with CargoWise, EDI Enterprise or similar TMS.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills under tight transport cutoffs.

Responsibilities

• Own European road import or export shipments from booking to delivery.
• Prepare transit documentation and Irish/Export customs declarations.
• Coordinate with international transport operators to track movements and optimize routings.
• Act as primary operational contact for key client accounts with real-time updates and issue resolution.
• Oversee road freight file costing and vendor invoices to protect margins.
