Our client is a long-established and highly regarded façade specialist based in the Limerick region, designing, manufacturing and installing complete façade solutions for landmark commercial, educational, healthcare, pharmaceutical and residential buildings across Ireland. With a substantial directly-employed workforce and significant in-house manufacturing, technical and design capability, the company is recognised as a market leader in architectural aluminium and glazing. Its product range spans unitised and stick curtain walling, windows and doors, brise soleil, louvres, cladding and rainscreen systems, structural and bolted point‑fixed glazing, and steel wall infill and fire systems. Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its commercial team during a sustained period of growth. You will take ownership of the estimating process for façade and glazing packages, reviewing tender documents, quantifying works, pricing materials and labour, and preparing competitive, accurate bids for high-value commercial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with a façade, curtain walling or construction sub‑contract background to play a central role in winning landmark projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender enquiries, architectural drawings and specifications to fully understand the scope of each façade package.
• Prepare detailed measurements, take‑offs and bills of quantities for curtain walling, glazing, cladding and associated systems.
• Price materials, aluminium systems, glass, labour, fabrication and installation to produce accurate, competitive tenders.
• Obtain and analyse quotations from systems suppliers, glass merchants and sub‑contractors.
• Liaise with the design, technical and project teams to ensure estimates are buildable and aligned with proposed solutions.
• Prepare and present commercial submissions, including qualifications, exclusions and clarifications.
• Attend pre‑tender and post‑tender meetings with clients and main contractors as required.
• Support the handover of awarded projects to the contracts and project management teams.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven estimating experience, ideally within façade, curtain walling, glazing, fenestration or a construction sub‑contracting environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
• Sound commercial awareness and a solid understanding of aluminium and glazing systems, materials and installation methods.
• Competent in estimating / take‑off software and MS Excel; familiarity with 3D drawings an advantage.
• Highly numerate, accurate and detail‑focused, with strong organisational skills.
• Good communication and negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers, clients and main contractors.

Desirable

• Experience pricing proprietary façade systems such as Schüco, Reynaers, Kawneer, Wicona, Technal or similar.
• Knowledge of CWCT performance requirements and their commercial implications.
• Qualification in quantity surveying, construction economics, engineering or a related discipline.
