The Role:
Lead and develop the Estimation Team in delivering the best commercial outcomes for the company. This role is responsible for overseeing the preparation of accurate and comprehensive bills of materials across all project types, while ensuring the team produces commercially competitive, technically robust, and clearly presented proposals for our customers.
The Estimation Manager will provide effective leadership and performance management to the estimating function, driving consistency, accuracy, and continuous improvement. The role also serves as a key link between the Business Development, Technical, and Specification teams across Hevac, fostering collaboration to maximise opportunities, support business growth, and ensure customer requirements are effectively translated into winning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and uphold the Company's values in all aspects of the role.
- Lead, manage, coach, and develop the team of Engineers and CAD Technicians.
- Oversee the quotation process and product selection activities across the Estimation Team, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Ensure all project quotations are commercially sound, technically robust, accurately priced, and professionally presented.
- Drive the maximisation of cross-selling opportunities across the full Hevac product portfolio within project quotations.
- Monitor and analyse margins on product and project quotations, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and commercial performance.
- Manage and maintain processes to support effective quotation management.
- Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for both internal and external customers.
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with all other business functions within Hevac.
- Produce and present KPI reports and metrics to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to support business objectives.
- Foster a customer-first culture, ensuring a high standard of service and responsiveness at all times.
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities reasonably required by management.
- Third-level qualification in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline; alternatively, a relevant trade or vocational qualification with significant industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience leading and developing technical, estimating, engineering, or sales support teams.
- Strong understanding of commercial tendering, estimating processes, and project quotations.
- Experience reading technical specifications, drawings and schedules.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Results-driven, with a proven track record of delivering against objectives and driving business performance.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
