We are seeking a skilled Mechanical/HVAC Engineer to join a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team delivering complex and technically advanced projects. This role focuses on sectors such as semiconductor manufacturing, assembly and test facilities, and other advanced industrial environments.
The successful candidate will contribute across the full project life cycle, including feasibility studies, long-range planning, conceptual and detailed design, and construction support within both design/bid/build and design/build frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise, assign, and delegate engineering and design tasks to support construction documentation delivery.
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule to meet key objectives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, structural, architectural, and process disciplines.
- Lead plant design activities independently as an area or system lead.
- Deliver Mechanical/HVAC plant design using 2D and 3D integrated design tools.
- Perform quality reviews of 2D/3D models and Mechanical/HVAC deliverables.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations.
- Support proposal development, scopes of work, project schedules, and budgets.
- Develop effort-hour estimates for Mechanical/HVAC design activities.
- Support site selection and due diligence activities in early project phases.
- Apply engineering judgement to develop effective design solutions and alternatives.
- Conduct field activities, including observation of construction works.
- Review construction submittals to ensure alignment with design intent and specifications.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers and designers.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Mechanical/HVAC design within industrial or advanced technology environments.
- Strong understanding of HVAC system design, including calculations, specifications, sizing, and detailing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, including engineers, clients, and vendors.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in semiconductor or large-scale industrial projects.
- Familiarity with both wet and dry system design environments.
- Experience in BIM environments using tools such as Navisworks.
