ERP L2 Application Support Engineer

Job summary

TechHeads are working with an established Irish organisation to hire an experienced L2 Application Support Analyst to join its IT team, supporting ERP systems and integrations. This role sits within a busy enterprise environment, offering exposure to a broad range of applications, databases, APIs and integrated platforms during a major ERP migration.

You’ll investigate and resolve complex application incidents, troubleshoot integrations, analyze data and identify root causes across systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in L2 application support or similar.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Infor M3, SAP, Dynamics or Sage.
• Good SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Understanding of APIs and integrations.
• Experience using logs and diagnostics to identify root causes.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with API testing tools, scripting or ITIL environments would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 technical application support across ERP systems.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, identify root causes across front-end, back-end, databases, APIs and integrations.
• Troubleshoot integration failures and trace data flows between ERP platforms and third-party systems.
• Use SQL to investigate issues, analyze data and correct master data.
• Analyse logs, error messages and traces to diagnose faults.
• Investigate performance issues including timeouts and latency.
• Collaborate with development teams, sharing findings and escalation details.
• Support ERP-related projects and system changes.
