TechHeads in Dublin is seeking an Application Support Analyst specializing in ERP and integrations to join our hybrid team. You will diagnose issues beyond the UI, trace transactions across systems, and use SQL, APIs and logs to uncover root causes, supporting day-to-day operations of enterprise applications.

You'll collaborate with developers, IT teams and external vendors, take ownership of incidents through to resolution, and contribute to maintaining robust integration layers and ERP

Application Support Analyst – ERP & Integrations

Location: Dublin | Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Do you enjoy figuring out what's actually going wrong behind an application?

We're recruiting an Application Support Analyst for an established Irish business operating in a fast-paced, transaction-heavy environment.

We're looking for someone who enjoys technical troubleshooting, someone who can investigate beyond the user interface, understand how applications communicate with each other, and use SQL, APIs and logs to get to the root cause of an issue. If you've supported business-critical applications and enjoy understanding how systems work behind the scenes, this could be a great opportunity. You'll provide hands-on technical support across enterprise applications, ERP systems and integrations, investigating issues that affect day-to-day business operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Investigating live production incidents across applications, databases, APIs and connected systems.
• Tracing transactions from one system to another to identify where and why something has failed.
• Using application logs and monitoring tools to investigate errors, failed transactions and performance issues.
• Writing SQL queries to investigate data discrepancies, validate records and troubleshoot application issues.
• Using Postman or similar tools to send API requests, inspect responses and troubleshoot integration failures.
• Supporting ERP workflows and investigating issues involving orders, stock, purchasing and other business processes.
• Working with developers, internal IT teams and external vendors to resolve more complex technical problems.
• Taking ownership of incidents through to resolution and documenting findings and root causes.

What we're looking for

The most important thing is your technical troubleshooting ability.

We want someone who understands how applications, databases and integrations work together and is comfortable investigating issues beyond what the end user sees.

Ideally, you'll bring

API knowledge

• An understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and how systems communicate through them.
• Hands-on experience using Postman, SoapUI or similar tools to send requests and interpret responses.
• The ability to investigate failed requests, error codes and data being exchanged between systems.

Application architecture and integrations

• A good foundational understanding of frontend applications, backend services, databases and integrations.
• Experience investigating how data moves between interconnected applications.
• The ability to follow a transaction through different systems and identify where a failure occurred.

Technical troubleshooting and logs

• A structured, methodical approach to investigating production issues.
• Experience using application logs, error messages or monitoring tools to identify root causes.
• Confidence troubleshooting beyond the application GUI and investigating what's happening in the backend.

SQL and databases

• Practical experience writing SQL queries to investigate application or data issues.
• An understanding of relational databases, joins, filtering and data validation.
• Experience working with ERP systems and understanding business workflows.
• Familiarity with how ERP platforms connect to other applications and exchange data.
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Epicor, Infor or similar systems would be relevant.
