Job summary

The Environmental Graduate role at Dawn Meats will be based at one of our production facilities in Ireland. You will manage day-to-day environmental activities and drive sustainability projects across operations.

You will capture data on effluent, energy, water and waste, develop KPIs, and liaise with regulatory bodies while maintaining ISO 50001 and ISO 14001 systems. Join a programme focused on hands-on responsibility and professional development.

Qualifications

  • 3rd level Environmental qualification (preferably B.Sc./B.E. in engineering) or similar.
  • Good knowledge of environmental techniques, managing large amounts of data, report writing.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluent English.
  • The ability to work as both part of a team and independently is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Capturing all relevant data relating to effluent, energy, water, waste and sustainability measure.
  • Formatting and analysing all the relevant data and developing KPI's for internal and external reporting.
  • Understanding/operating and advising on effluent treatment processes.
  • Performing laboratory analysis of effluent to demonstrate healthy performance across all areas of treatment.
  • Liase with external bodies on regulatory matters i.e. EPA/Co. Co. etc
  • Maintain and improve ISO50001 Energy management system on site;
  • Maintain and improve ISO140001 Environmental management system on site.

Role Summary

The Ideal Candidate Will Have Or Demonstrate
  • A relevant 3rd level Environmental qualification (preferably B.Sc.\B.E. degree in engineering) or similar;
