Job summary

Dawn Meats Carrolls Cross, Co. Waterford invites an experienced Environmental Officer to join our production team. You will manage all environmental disciplines within the site and drive sustainability projects across wastewater, energy, and waste streams.

Reporting to the Environmental Manager and Site Operations Manager, you will develop KPI data, maintain ISO50001 and ISO14001 systems, and ensure compliance with current regulations while collaborating with operations and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with fluent English.
• The ability to work as part of a team and independently is essential.
• IT skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Understanding/operating onsite Wastewater Treatment Plant.
• Performing lab analysis on effluent to demonstrate healthy performance and adjusting setpoints/flows based on results.
• Completing daily/weekly/monthly records.
• Capturing all relevant data relating to effluent, energy, water, waste, and sustainability measure.
• Formatting and analysing all the relevant data and developing KPI's for internal and external reporting.
• Manage all waste streams leaving site and maintain an online register of same.
• Assist Environmental Manager to Maintain and improve ISO50001 Energy management system on site.
• Assist Environmental Manager to Maintain and improve ISO140001 Environmental management system on site.

Role Summary

We currently have opportunities for an experienced Environmental officer to join our production team in Carrolls Cross, Co. Waterford.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all environmental disciples within the site. This will involve the day-to-day management of all environmental related activities along with a series of environmental and sustainability-based projects.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be based in our Dawn Meats Carrolls Cross, primary production plants and will be responsible for:
