WSP is seeking a Primary Design Engineer to join the UK & Ireland Energy team, delivering HV and EHV substations from 132kV to 400kV as part of a multidisciplinary group focused on Net Zero infrastructure. You will contribute to ground-breaking projects and drive innovation in design and safety.

You will be supported with mentoring, development opportunities, and a pathway toward Chartered Engineer status, with Hybrid working across UK/Ireland offices and a culture of inclusion and collaboration.

Qualifikationen

• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience on HV/EHV substations (AIS/GIS).
• Knowledge of standards and technical policies for HV/EHV plant and substations.

Aufgaben

• Produce design drawings for Grid and HV/EHV substations.
• Prepare technical specifications for electrical plant upgrades and substation projects (132kV to 400kV).
• Review designs to ensure technical compliance with current legislation and policies.
• Undertake the role of CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer on HV/EHV projects.
• Attend site meetings to support design changes during construction.
