Job summary

The Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) in Kilkenny City is seeking committed Healthcare Assistants to support Members at home and in the community. The role focuses on promoting independence across personal care, domestic tasks, and companionship, with roughly 12 hours per week.

We offer competitive pay (€16.54–€18.39 per hour, with higher rates for early mornings, evenings, Sundays and public holidays), plus mileage, sick pay, pension schemes, holiday pay, training and a supportive working

Qualifications

• Experience in caring roles is essential.
• Reliable, trustworthy and maintains confidentiality.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Access to own car and full driving licence is essential.
• Willing to drive member's vehicle is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Enable Members to achieve maximum independence in daily living through personal care, domestic assistance, social and educational support and companionship.
• Role takes place in Members' homes and communities.
