Job summary

The Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) in Waterford City is seeking committed Healthcare Assistants (Personal Assistants) to support Members in daily living. This part-time role covers homes and communities, with shifts that may include mornings, evenings and weekends as available.

We offer a range of benefits including mileage, sick pay, maternity/paternity pay, and a pension scheme. Successful candidates will have QQI Level 5 in Healthcare and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people in a caring role.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Access to your own car and full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, domestic tasks and daily living activities.
• Provide social and educational support and travel companionship.
• Work in the homes and communities of Members and coordinate with team.
