Job summary

Toast is seeking an EMEA People Operations Lead on a 12-month fixed-term contract to deliver frontline shared services across the employee lifecycle in EMEA. You will own inquiries on benefits, leave, and related processes, while driving automation and improvements in a global matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Professional fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's; or PhD with 3 years.
• Significant hands-on experience within People Operations or Shared Services.
• Experience operating in a matrixed structure and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
• Experience with HR transformation programs and lifecycle processes.
• Knowledge of GDPR and labor regulations to ensure compliance.
• Familiarity with SOX-compliant programs and processes.
• Understanding of HR technology, reporting, and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver frontline People Services (Shared Services) support for the EMEA region across the employee lifecycle.
• Escalate and resolve complex EMEA cases with compliance and high service standards.
• Track SLAs and report metrics to drive decision-making.
• Identify issues and drive automation and standardization improvements.
• Collaborate with People, Legal, Finance, and Business teams to drive adoption of service delivery changes.
• Influence Global COEs with locally relevant, compliant program designs.
• Partner with global teams to deliver varied People initiatives.
