Job summary

Atlas HXM is expanding its European payroll operations and seeking a Regional Payroll Specialist. The role requires hands-on experience across multiple European jurisdictions, with particular emphasis on Belgium and Nordic countries.

You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and payroll partners to deliver accurate payroll cycles and drive continuous improvement. You will work with the Regional Payroll Manager to consolidate vendors, streamline processes, and ensure timely, compliant payroll across

Qualifications

• 3+ years of multi-country payroll experience.
• Experience in Belgium and Nordic countries is required.
• Strong customer-facing skills.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
• Ability to support process improvement projects.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with multinational payroll implementations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact with payroll partners and ensure accurate, timely payroll entries and reports.
• Follow established processes, calendars, and ensure reliability of inputs and outputs.
• Coordinate payroll activities with internal teams and oversee adjustment and termination pay.
• Provide timely payroll data to Accounting and support reconciliation activities.
• Collaborate on reporting, data analysis, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with HR to resolve payroll queries and manage garnishments and deductions.
• Support non-standard payroll requirements (off-cycle payments, advances, urgent corrections).
• Maintain and improve payroll dashboards to track progress and resolve issues.
• Contribute to the Payroll Vendor Consolidation Project and harmonisation efforts.
