Job summary

Jones Engineering in Cork is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join our delivery team, offering exposure to Data Centres, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Commercial sectors.

You will work with Contract Managers to monitor commercial status, review contracts, prepare reports, and manage subcontractor accounts, with strong CPD and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in a similar role with an electrical contractor.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Strong presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Working directly with Contract Managers to advise on Commercial status of projects.
• Assisting in the review of all project contracts
• Assist the Senior QS with the preparation of Commercial Reports.
• Negotiation with contractors across all projects including preparation of variations.
• Manage major subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations and final account.
• Assist the Senior QS with monthly progress applications.
• Assisting in the tendering process
• All other duties associated with this role.

Job Description

Due to continued expansion in Jones Engineering, we require an Intermediate Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join the delivery team. The projects involve a wide range of clients in sectors such as Data Centres, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Commercial. This role offers experience of varied project work across different sectors and exposure to a diverse range of construction contracts.
