Job summary

Apleona Ireland is seeking an Events Operative to join our team at Cork City Centre. You will help set up rooms for events, arrange tables and layouts, and assist clients in getting settled.

The role includes light IT setup (projectors and HDMI sources), serving refreshments, clearing up, and maintaining tidy spaces. You must be flexible for morning, evening and weekend shifts, and be physically able to lift and move furniture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in events, hospitality, or facilities is beneficial but not essential.
• Comfortable with room setup and furniture re-organisation.
• Garda Vetting is required for this role.
• Flexibility for shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Setting up rooms as per schedule (tables, chairs, layouts).
• Assist with furniture moves and resets.
• Basic IT setup (connecting laptops to projectors, HDMI sources).
• Meeting clients and helping them get settled.
• Preparing tea, coffee, and refreshments.
• Cleaning up after events and maintaining spaces.
• Assist with cleaning and upkeep during quieter periods.
