Job summary

Apleona UK is seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our team across sites throughout Cork City and County. The role runs Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:00 on a fixed-term contract basis.

Responsibilities include cleaning offices, floors, toilets, and communal areas, with duties such as vacuuming, dusting, disinfection and waste disposal. Garda Vetting may be required for certain sites; English language skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A can do attitude.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Good working knowledge of English.
• Knowledge and willingness to apply safe working practices.
• Knowledge of how to use the equipment necessary to carry out the assigned tasks.
• Garda Vetting might be applicable for some sites.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general cleaning of all areas of the building, including offices, floors, corridors, stairwells, and toilets.
• Vacuuming, dusting and washing floors and walls.
• Sweeping, floor polishing and waste disposal.
• Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture.
• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• Ensuring the toilet facilities are kept clean and supplies are replenished when required.
• Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers and elevators.
• General housekeeping and cleaning around the building.
• Inform the Supervisor/Manager of the stock required for replenishing purposes.
• Undertake any other duties as requested.
