Job summary

Cashel Palace Hotel is seeking a reliable Banqueting Operations Assistant to help ensure our events are prepared to the highest standard. You will work with Banqueting and Food & Beverage teams to set up function rooms, dress tables, and maintain presentation.

This role focuses on operational preparation rather than food service, requires midweek availability and 24–32 hours per week, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and presentation standards.
• Reliable and able to work independently with a team.
• Willingness to be flexible and learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Prepare banquet and function rooms for weddings, conferences, meetings, and private events.
• Set and dress tables to exacting standards with linens, glassware and decor.
• Polish cutlery, glassware, and service equipment.
• Ensure spaces are clean, organised, and event-ready.
• Assist with room turnarounds between events.
• Maintain banqueting stores and equipment; support stock replenishment.
• Work with Events and F&B teams to deliver seamless prep.
• Follow health, safety, hygiene and manual handling procedures.
• Provide occasional support during event service when required.
