Job summary

Walls Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of construction projects from initiation to handover. You will ensure safety, on-time delivery, budget discipline and quality across all project activities.

As the central contact for clients, the project team and supply chain, you will drive progress, manage risk and maintain clear audit trails through reports and handover dossiers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering construction projects with main contractor, developer or consultancy.
• Demonstrable experience managing programmes, budgets and site teams to time, cost and quality.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience handling variations and basic reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for clients and senior management.
• Organised and methodical with ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and manage all project activities and resources to meet targets.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, identify critical paths and recover delays.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and approve expenditure in line with procedures.
• Coordinate procurement and management of labour, subcontractors and materials.
• Lead site-based teams and subcontractors to achieve milestones.
• Identify, record and manage risks and issues, escalating as needed.
• Prepare meeting minutes, progress reports and handover dossiers.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements on site.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and statutory bodies to resolve matters.
• Monitor quality control and rectify defects per specifications.
• Support commercial activities by noting variations and entitlements.
• Coach and mentor junior staff within the project team.
