Job summary

Walls Construction is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to support the Construction Management Team on site, delivering building elements to programme and budget. You will provide technical oversight and coordinate site activities, leading the site engineering function to ensure compliance with design intent.

You will supervise setting out engineers, inspect shuttering and reinforcement before pours, review plans for accuracy, and coordinate with subcontractors and clients while enforcing health

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as Site Engineer with a Main Contractor.
• Experience using setting-out equipment (total stations, GPS, laser levels).
• Strong knowledge of temporary works coordination.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise setting out engineers to ensure works are delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect shuttering, reinforcement, and dimensiional compliance prior to concrete pours, and maintain accurate materials reconciliation records.
• Review plans and drawings to verify calculations and ensure compliance with design and specifications.
• Liaise with subcontractors, clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders to coordinate site activities.
• Oversee quality control measures and ensure full compliance with health and safety standards and site procedures.
