Job summary

Sherpa Kids is seeking a dedicated childcare assistant to supervise and engage with school-aged children in Ireland. You will support before/after school clubs, help with homework, and lead indoor and outdoor activities in a safe, inclusive environment.

The role runs Monday to Friday, mornings 7:50–8:50 and afternoons 13:40–18:00, at on-site school locations across Ireland. Garda vetting, work permit, and two written references are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with School Aged children (Minimum 1 Year)
• Basic knowledge of child development
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage).
• Work Permit/ VISA essential
• At least 2 written references checks are required before starting

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play
• Assist with homework and educational tasks
• Engaging in a variety of planned activities (both indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
