Job summary

Key tasks include developing recruitment plans, coordinating interviews, maintaining QQI records, and assisting with HR policies, contracts and development opportunities across the team.

Qualifications

  • HR or other relevant recruitment qualification.
  • Experience in staff recruitment, selection and retention.
  • Knowledge of recruitment law and HR best practices.
  • Ability to work in a team and lead others.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and data protection.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the HR team to assist in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies.
  • Manage and coordinate recruitment processes to ensure an adequate pool of candidates with the required skills and qualifications to support the business needs.
  • Take responsibility for the administration and tracking of QQI qualifications and development, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Participate in induction and external recruitment opportunities.
  • Promote fair and inclusive practices in recruitment and selection, as well as the implementation of all HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the execution of recruitment plans, including identifying advertising opportunities and sourcing candidates.
  • Actively engage with the local community and help organise recruitment events.
  • Regularly post job advertisements for various positions as required.
  • Participate in induction, ensuring we give our new employees the best possible start.
  • Monitor and evaluate recruitment campaigns and turnover rates. Ensure cost-effective recruitment practices.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, and handle related correspondence.
  • Assist in managing employment contracts and provide advice and support on HR-related matters, including grievance and disciplinary procedures, performance management, and absence management.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure that new staff members receive appropriate induction training and ongoing support and development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to HR and recruitment activities.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of QQI and take lead on following up with any issues or support required by the team.
  • Use and maintain HR, recruitment and IT management systems effectively, and adapt to new systems as required.
  • Be flexible and prepared to undertake additional duties as required to support the HR and recruitment function.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks while being comfortable answering the phone and assisting with general enquiries when required.
