Job summary

The Montenotte in Cork city is seeking a Lobby Host to join our Concierge and Guest Relations team. You will greet guests, manage luggage, and coordinate transportation, tours, and dining reservations to create exceptional experiences.

Fluency in English and a full, clean driving license are required. You will build local partnerships to offer exclusive access to experiences and serve guests with discretion and warmth.

SCOPE OF THE JOB

We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful individual to fill the unique role of Lobby Host.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting guests/customers
• Manage luggage and deliveries
• Perform basic administrative duties
• Running errands to assist guests
• Arranging transportation and excursions upon visitor request
• Provide information and recommendations on local features, attractions, shopping, restaurants, dining, entertainment, nightlife, and recreation
• Arranging tours and activities
• Making dinner/event reservations for guests
• Managing customer/guest requests for housekeeping and/or maintenance
• Develop network of contacts, service providers and businesses within their communities to serve guests
• During periods of less demand for the Woodland Suite Experience Offering, you will work as a member of the Concierge and Guest Relations team.

Requirements

• Full, Clean Drivers License

Skill Set Preferred

• People person: Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine warmth and infectious enthusiasm for sharing the magic of Cork.
• Foreign Language Skills: Fluency in English is a must. Additional language skills, particularly European languages common amongst hotel guests, are a plus.
• Network & Relationship Building: The ability to build strong relationships with local businesses and attractions to secure exclusive access and experiences for guests.
• Storytelling: The ability to captivate guests with engaging stories about Cork's history, mythology, and hidden gems.
• Discretion & Professionalism: The ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality and navigate guest interactions with grace and finesse.
