Job summary

The Montenotte is seeking a Reservations Supervisor to join the Front Office team in Cork. You will ensure smooth bookings, manage rates across channels and respond to guest inquiries with a focus on upselling the hotel’s facilities and experiences.

Responsibilities include handling calls, liaising with departments, and supporting the Revenue Manager. Training and knowledge of Hotsoft are advantageous; a competitive salary and leisure facility access are offered.

We are now looking for a Reception Supervisor to join the team!

Main Responsibilities

• Working as part of the Front Office Team to offer a high level of customer service.
• Checking in and out guests on arrival and departure.
• Dealing with enquiries via telephone and email;
• Processing of reservations, cancellations and modifications promptly.
• Promote upselling and general sales within the department and ensuring maximum revenue is generated.
• Ensure all daily reports are completed before the agreed time.
• To take the responsibility for the checking of bills, invoicing to FIT & Tour operators.
• To liaise with Senior Management with regard to guest queries or issues.
• To assist guests with transport & luggage in a courteous and professional manner

We are currently recruiting for a: Reservations Supervisor

Responsibilities Include

• To ensure all bookings, reservation documentation and filing is completed.
• To manage all rates on the various booking channels, yielding rates effectively.
• To handle all guest inquiries efficiently and professionally at all times.
• To take reservation calls for bedrooms and divert all inquiries to the relevant departments
• Be a sales person for the hotel by up-selling and recommending the Hotel facilities and developing a good rapport with clients.
• Communicate and liaise with all hotel departments in a timely and effective manner.
• Handle all guest concerns relevant to the Reservations Office to the satisfaction of all parties.
• Deal with group bookings from booking stage to departure.
• To proactively sell bedrooms at the best rate possible, ensuring that all opportunities to achieve upsell e.g. upgrades, dinner, activities etc. are maximized.

To have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all standards of performance and delivery within the Rooms Management department.

Assist the Revenue Manager when required & manage the department while the Revenue Manager is on annual leave.

To train new team members on all departmental Standards Operating Procedures.

To provide new team members with guidance, advice, feedback, and support.

A knowledge of Hotsoft and previous experience will be a distinct advantage.
