Job summary

Darwin Hawkins recruitment is seeking an experienced Divisional CFO to join a leading global group. You will oversee financial performance for a major division across international markets, partnering with divisional leadership to drive profitability and transformation.

The role demands senior finance leadership, commercial acumen and strong experience in complex, multi-site environments. A Chartered Accountant with a track record in large-scale operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience.
• Experience operating at Head of Finance, Divisional/Regional Finance Director, Head of FP&A, Financial Controller or equivalent level.
• Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience.
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial or another operationally intensive environment would be advantageous.
• Responsibility for the financial performance of a significant business, division or region.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance management experience.
• Experience across multiple sites, business units or geographies.
• Proven ability to partner with and influence senior operational and commercial stakeholders.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Experience of business transformation, integration, M&A or significant organisational change would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key member of the divisional leadership team, providing financial and commercial input into the strategic direction of the business.
• Take ownership of divisional financial performance with focus on revenue, profitability, cash generation and ROI.
• Partner with senior operational and commercial leaders to challenge performance and support better decision-making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and longer-term strategic planning processes across the division.
• Provide high-quality analysis and insight into business performance and identify opportunities to improve margins, productivity and profitability.
• Collaborate with operational teams to understand and improve the financial performance of individual sites and markets.
• Drive cash conversion and working capital management across the division.
• Support evaluation of capital expenditure, investment opportunities and other strategic initiatives.
• Support business transformation, integration, M&A or wider growth initiatives.
• Lead and develop finance teams and ensure finance is a genuine commercial partner to the business.
• Work with Group Finance to ensure divisional priorities align with broader strategy.
