Job description

Company Overview

Your new company is a highly successful international organisation with a significant global presence and a reputation for excellence within its sector. Operating across multiple regions and jurisdictions, the business has achieved sustained growth through a strong commitment to innovation, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

With ambitious plans for further expansion, the organisation continues to invest in its people, systems and infrastructure, ensuring it remains well-positioned for long-term success. Finance plays a central role in supporting these objectives, partnering closely with leadership teams across the business to drive performance, support strategic decision-making and maintain strong governance standards.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation where collaboration, accountability and professional development are highly valued. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the international finance function while contributing to wider business growth initiatives on a global scale.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Director will lead and develop an established international finance function, taking responsibility for financial reporting, compliance, governance, controls and finance operations across multiple jurisdictions.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a strong combination of technical expertise, commercial awareness and people leadership. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing strategic financial insight and supporting business decisions at both operational and executive level.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee international reporting processes, ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and drive best-in-class financial controls across the organisation. You will also play a central role in finance transformation initiatives, process improvement projects and the continued development of a high-performing international team.

Success in the role will require the ability to build strong relationships across functions and territories, working collaboratively with colleagues around the globe to support business objectives while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience (10+ Years) gained within a complex international environment. You will possess strong leadership skills, excellent commercial judgement and a proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders across a global organisation.

You will have extensive experience managing international finance operations and a strong technical grounding in financial reporting, governance and compliance. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls and international accounting standards will be essential, alongside a proven track record of maintaining robust financial control environments within a multinational business.

The role requires a dynamic team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable working cross-functionally and cross-territorially. You will be equally capable of operating at a strategic level while remaining hands‑on when required, demonstrating the ability to lead teams, manage change and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills are critical, as is the ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful commercial insights for non‑finance stakeholders.

What's On Offer

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing international organisation in a senior leadership capacity with significant visibility across the global business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work strategically with leadership teams across multiple international markets, influencing key business decisions and helping shape the future direction of the organisation's finance function.

In return, an attractive remuneration package is available including a competitive base salary, performance‑related bonus, comprehensive pension scheme, health benefits and the opportunity to further develop your career within a progressive global organisation.

For an ambitious finance leader seeking a broad international role with genuine strategic influence, strong executive exposure and long‑term career potential, this represents an exceptional opportunity.
