Job summary

The National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) in Dublin seeks a Director of HR to lead the people function. Reporting to the CEO, you will shape and implement a People Strategy, build an inclusive, high-performing culture and ensure workforce capability aligns with the institute’s strategy.

You will oversee HR operations, talent acquisition, reward, and employee relations across the organisation, advise the Board and SLT on risk and opportunity, and champion governance,

Qualifications

• Proven track record in developing and delivering people strategy.
• Experience reporting to a Board and senior leadership.
• Significant HR experience, including at least five years at senior/leadership level.
• Knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the NIBRT People Strategy, aligned with overall strategy and goals.
• Lead workforce planning and talent strategy to attract, develop and retain skills.
• Lead organisational design and development to support strategy.
• Lead on leadership development and succession planning for senior roles.
• Oversee HR operations, reporting, policies and records across the employee lifecycle.
• Oversee recruitment and contracting for complex roles and international mobility.
• Oversee employee relations, coaching for managers, and change management.
