Job summary

Barden | B Corp is seeking a Director of Payroll in Ireland to lead the Payroll practice, shaping strategy and delivery for a portfolio of clients. You will drive transformation initiatives, ensure robust governance, and deliver expert payroll and tax advisory across PAYE and related matters.

The role calls for senior leadership with bureau and professional services experience, capable of building multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality outcomes in a globally recognised organisation

The successful person will play a key role in shaping and leading the Payroll practice, ensuring operational excellence, strong client delivery and continued growth.

The Opportunity:

• Lead the continued development and growth of the Payroll practice, supporting broader HR, workforce, and business transformation initiatives
• Create and convert opportunities for Payroll-related advisory and transformation engagements, building strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Provide expert Payroll and tax advice, supporting clients across payroll compliance, PAYE, employment taxes and wider payroll-related matters
• Support organisations in evaluating, implementing, and optimising Payroll technologies, operating models, and service delivery arrangements
• Provide expert advice on Payroll transformation programmes, including process improvement, automation, governance, and regulatory compliance
• Guide clients in defining future Payroll capabilities and aligning them with wider HR, finance, and digital strategies
• Build, inspire, and oversee multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality Payroll and transformation outcomes
• Ensure robust governance and quality standards across client delivery, managing risks and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations
• Develop insights, market intelligence, and benchmarking analysis to help clients make informed strategic decisions
• Enhance the organisation's Payroll offering through the creation of new methodologies, tools, propositions, and thought leadership
