Job summary

Mediolanum International - Ireland is seeking an experienced Investment Analytics leader to head the Analytics & Reporting function. You will guide a growing team delivering performance, attribution and risk insights across the fund range.

The role focuses on coordinating multiple workstreams, developing new processes, and enabling robust governance for investment decisions. A strong background in portfolio construction and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related discipline; CFA considered an advantage.
• 7+ years’ experience in portfolio analysis and support to front-office Investment teams, preferably at an asset manager.
• Proven experience managing and developing a high-performing team.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets and portfolio construction.
• Experience with asset allocation, performance measurement & attribution and risk analysis.
• Knowledge of equities, fixed income and mutual funds.
• Familiarity with regulatory regimes (Solvency II, UCITS & MIFID).
• Experience with tools such as FactSet, Morningstar, MSCI risk analytics or Taciem Fusion Invest.
• SQL or BI tools (Power BI, Cognos, Qlik) and scripting languages (Python, R).
• Ability to define and build AI capability for the Investment Analytics & Reporting team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor investment processes to support governance and informed decision-making.
• Lead daily and monthly performance measurement across portfolios, currencies and benchmarks.
• Deliver performance attribution analysis across asset classes and regions.
• Lead, mentor and develop team members and build stakeholder relationships.
• Conduct peer-group analysis and manager rankings.
• Use portfolio-construction tools to assess risk/return of allocation and manager-selection scenarios.
• Produce and oversee ex-ante and ex-post risk reporting.
• Deliver ESG risk analytics and insights.
