Job summary

Mediolanum-International-Funds-Limited in Dublin seeks a Senior Portfolio Operations Analyst to join the growing Operations Department. You will ensure data integrity across instruments and asset classes, oversee reconciliation processes, and resolve complex data exceptions impacting portfolio management.

You will act as a subject matter expert, working with investment teams, custodians, brokers and technology groups to drive improvements and support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Portfolio Operations or Investment Operations.
• Extensive front-to-back understanding of Fund/Asset Management processes.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL or data analytics tools.
• Professional qualification such as CFA is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee setup, valuation and maintenance of instruments across asset classes.
• Maintain securities database in the OMS and market referential data.
• Perform IBOR validation to ensure data integrity between internal systems and external sources.
• Investigate and resolve data exceptions impacting portfolio management, risk and reporting.
• Resolve daily cash, position and market value reconciliations, including trade capture and pricing.
• Support data flow and system changes; provide guidance on processing procedures.

Employment Type PermanentLocationRole Profile We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Portfolio Operations Analyst to join our growing Operations Department at Mediolanum.The successful candidate will be a senior member of the Portfolio Operations Team, responsible for ensuring the integrity of investment data, oversight of complex operational processes, and the timely resolution of reconciliation and transaction related exceptions. The role requires extensive experience across multiple asset classes, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to drive operational improvements and support strategic initiatives.The Senior Portfolio Operations Analyst will act as a subject matter expert across the investment lifecycle, working closely with the Investment Team, Custodians, Brokers, Technology teams and third party service providers. The role will also support project delivery, change initiatives, and provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.The role provides a great chance to join a growing team and offers strong collaboration with service providers, internal teams, and the Investment Department within a top tier asset manager in Dublin.Duties •Oversee the setup, valuation and maintenance instruments across multiple asset classes including Equities, Fixed Income, FX, OTC Derivatives, ETDs, Structured Products and Alternative Assets.•Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the securities database in the OMS and the process of defining instruments, markets, currencies, tax tables and other associated market referential data.•Perform and oversee IBOR validation activities, ensuring integrity between internal systems and external sources.•Investigate and resolve complex data exceptions impacting portfolio management, risk, performance and reporting.•Responsible for the resolution of daily cash, position and market value reconciliations including trade capture and pricing.•Resolve complex process problems and serve as a subject matter expert in securities processing procedures and industry standards.•Responsible for the setting up of new funds, portfolios, delegates and the maintenance and addition of the portfolio structure.•Develop and implement advanced solutions, contributing to the continuous improvement and streamlining of processing activities.•Assist with the review and implementation of changes to data flows, and system changes.Skills & Competencies •Ability to effectively and extensively interact with all levels within the company, from entry level trainees through to senior managers.•Be highly collaborative and team oriented.•Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.•Quick Learner and Assertive individual who can both follow instructions and act independently when appropriate.•Organised individual who can self-manage multiple priorities, routine work and urgent issues as they arise.•Strong communication and relationship management skills.•Effective analytical ability with a high degree of attention to detail and organisational skills.•Risk and control awareness and experience of taking responsibility for operational risk management.•Proven process re-engineering skills with a tech first mindset.•Excellent verbal, written and numeric skills.Qualifications & Experience •5+ years' experience in Portfolio Operations, Middle Office, Investment Operations or a related investment management environment.•Extensive front to back understanding of Fund / Asset Management processes.•Strong knowledge of and experience dealing with the following asset types: Funds (ETF’s, External and FoF), Equities, Fixed Income incl. complex debt instruments, FX & credit, Exchange Traded and OTC Derivative.•Experience with Power BI, SQL or data analytics tools.•Professional qualification such as CFA is an advantage.Applications Close Date
