Job summary

Company Details Confidential in Ireland is seeking a Deli Assistant to deliver friendly, efficient service and support daily deli operations.

You will prepare sandwiches, rolls, salads and other fresh food products, serve hot and cold items, handle till payments and help with stock, cleanliness and HACCP compliance. Full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in deli/food service.
• Level 3 qualification including Junior Cert.

Responsibilities

• Providing friendly and efficient customer service
• Taking customer orders and preparing deli food to order
• Preparing sandwiches, rolls, salads and other fresh food products
• Serving hot and cold food and beverages
• Operating deli equipment safely and correctly
• Preparing and displaying food attractively
• Maintaining excellent standards of food presentation
• Restocking the deli and food preparation areas throughout the day
• Checking food quality, freshness and dates
• Following correct food storage and stock rotation procedures
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Cleaning work surfaces, equipment and the deli area regularly
• Following HACCP and food safety procedures
• Handling customer queries professionally
• Operating the till and processing cash and card payments when required
• Assisting with deliveries and stock replenishment
• Working closely with the wider shop team
• Helping with opening and closing duties as required

Job Description

The RoleAs a Deli Assistant, you will be responsible for serving customers and helping with the preparation, presentation and day-to-day running of our deli.You will play an important role in ensuring customers receive friendly, efficient service and that our deli maintains excellent standards of quality, cleanliness and food safety.

Hours

Flexible shifts are available, including weekdays, evenings and weekends. We are particularly interested in candidates who can offer regular availability and flexibility during busy periods.
