Job summary

Elevate is seeking a Data Privacy Specialist/Paralegal to join their privacy team on a 6‑month initial contract with potential extensions. You will support GDPR compliance, manage data subject rights requests, and work closely with the DPO and cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, global environment.

The role offers hands‑on experience in privacy governance and records management, with exposure to regulatory matters and a pathway to longer‑term opportunities for a legally focused professional.

Qualifications

  • Experience with data privacy or GDPR matters.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • IAPP certification (CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) desirable or interest in obtaining.

Responsibilities

  • Manage GDPR data subject rights requests, including erasure requests.
  • Support day-to-day data privacy and GDPR compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with DPO, Privacy team and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Maintain records and documentation of privacy requests and compliance.

Our customer, a leading multinational technology company, is seeking a Data Privacy Specialist/ Paralegal to join their privacy team on a long-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with an interest in data privacy to gain hands‑on experience supporting GDPR compliance within a fast‑paced, global organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and respond to GDPR-related data subject rights requests, including requests relating to the right to erasure ('right to be forgotten').
  • Support the delivery of day‑to‑day data privacy and GDPR compliance activities.
  • Work closely with the Data Protection Officer (DPO), Privacy team, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant handling of privacy matters.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to privacy requests and compliance processes.Assist with other ad hoc data privacy and regulatory matters as required.
Key Requirements
  • Previous exposure to, or experience in, data privacy or GDPR matters.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
  • IAPP certification (CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT) is desirable, or a genuine interest in obtaining an IAPP qualification.
