Job summary

Crown, Ireland's leading specialist roofing, cladding and façade contractor, is seeking an experienced Estimator to price new work and secure major projects across Ireland and the UK. You can work remotely, hybrid, or from our Wicklow HQ, with travel to sites as required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Proven ability in quantity take-offs, measurements, project costing and tender preparation.
• Strong commercial awareness, including margins, budgets and risk management.
• Experience sourcing, assessing and negotiating supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Responsibilities

• Review tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities and detailed cost estimates.
• Develop accurate pricing and rate build-ups while ensuring target margins are achieved.
• Obtain, review and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and submit competitive tenders within required deadlines.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost-saving measures.
• Support value engineering and alternative cost-effective solutions.
• Liaise with clients and main contractors throughout the tender process.
• Monitor live tenders and maintain an overview of the project pipeline.
• Prepare project budgets and coordinate commercial handovers following successful award.
