Job summary

Crown is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing team. This role involves ownership of the estimating process across high‑value building envelope projects, from tender review to handover.

You will work with Commercial, Pre-Construction, Design and Operations teams to develop accurate, competitive pricing and strong margins. The position requires attention to detail, commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple tenders, with travel to site and Crown HQ as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as an Estimator within the construction industry.
• Experience estimating roofing, cladding, façades or another building envelope discipline is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Experience obtaining, assessing and negotiating supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• A current driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Review tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and other project documentation.
• Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities and detailed project cost estimates.
• Develop rate build-ups for all elements of work, ensuring margins are achieved.
• Obtain, assess and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support the Commercial Director and Commercial team in negotiations through to project award.
