Home Care | Dublin, Ireland |Senior Manager Level
One of the most recognisable Home Care portfolios on Irish shelves is looking for its next Customer Business Manager. This is a business with real scale and genuine household-name brands — the kind of category that gets a seat at the table with every major Irish retailer, and the kind of role where your fingerprints end up on the P&L, the shelf, and the growth story, all at once.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the Customer Development leadership team, you will lead a strategically important, multi-channel Home Care business for a leading multinational FMCG organisation with a significant presence in Ireland. You'll own the customer strategy end to end — from annual negotiations and trade investment through to in-store execution — and you'll be the commercial link between some of Ireland's biggest retail and wholesale accounts and the Category, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance teams behind the brands.
It's a role with real weight to it: full P&L accountability for Home Care nationally, a seat in shaping the category's future direction, and the scope to bring new products and ideas to market in partnership with the retailers who put them on shelf.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the Home Care customer strategy — spotting and unlocking growth opportunities across key retail and wholesale accounts to deliver sustainable, profitable results.
- Build genuine relationships with buying teams and senior stakeholders, turning them into joint business plans that work for both sides.
- Lead commercial negotiations — annual business planning, promotional investment, pricing, trade terms and customer funding — with full ownership of outcomes.
- Translate strategy into action, turning category and channel plans into a Home Care business plan that drives real, measurable growth.
- Design category-winning promotional and activation plans, using shopper and customer insight to move market share and category value in the right direction.
- Bring innovation to life, securing customer buy-in for new launches, distribution gains and category development across the portfolio.
- Drive standout execution in-store and online, working closely with Retail Media, Category Management and Marketing to sharpen visibility, availability and conversion.
- Hold the P&L, balancing growth, profitability and investment across the total Irish Home Care business.
- Partner with Brand and Category teams to land the wider Home Care ambition across the Irish retail landscape.
- Coach and develop talent within the broader Customer Development team — this is a role with people leadership built in.
- Lead forecasting and performance management, working closely with Customer Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to stay ahead of risks and opportunities.
- Stay close to the market, reading shopper behaviour, category trends and channel shifts, and turning that insight into commercial action.
- Bring commercial rigour, keeping pricing execution, accrual management and investment governance accurate and well controlled.
- Contribute beyond your own patch, supporting capability-building and best-practice sharing across the wider Ireland business.
What You'll Bring
- Strong Customer Development experience across selling, negotiation and P&L management, ideally at a commercially driven, branded FMCG business.
- Direct experience working with major Irish retail customers — with a particular focus on Dunnes Stores,
- A track record of building customer relationships that create real value on both sides of the table.
- Strong commercial acumen and comfort managing complex, multi-layered category and customer plans.
- Strategic thinking balanced with a genuine appetite for day-to-day delivery and execution.
- A self-starter who takes ownership and gets things done, even when the pace picks up.
- Real energy for customer relationships and a knack for finding win-win outcomes.
- Curiosity about where shopper behaviour, category trends and retail are heading next.
- A collaborative style that influences well across functions, not just up and down a reporting line.
- Resilience and adaptability, and an appetite for the pace that comes with leading a high-profile category.
Why This Role
This is a chance to lead a high-profile, high-trust category for a genuinely ambitious FMCG business — iconic brands, serious retail relationships, and a level of ownership that's hard to find elsewhere. If you're commercially curious, ambitious, and want a role where the decisions you make show up on shelf and on the P&L, this is worth a conversation.
