Job summary

RECRUITERS is recruiting a Credit Official on a 12-month contract located in Dublin. The role involves engaging customers through the credit journey, reviewing applications, and supporting credit decisions while ensuring compliance and high service standards.

The position requires APA accreditation and strong customer-facing experience, with a hybrid model offering three days onsite weekly at Airside or Central Park, Sandyford.

Qualifications

• APA Accreditation – QFA Loans and QFA Regulations is essential.
• Experience in a customer-facing role with strong communication.
• Experience engaging with customers over the telephone.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer engagement, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing information.
• Organisational skills to manage multiple applications.
• Capacity to work within policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to handle sensitive customer information and make decisions.
• Background in financial institutions, banking, lending or credit is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers throughout the credit application and decision process.
• Handle queries and provide clear information on credit requirements.
• Review applications in line with policies and lending criteria.
• Gather and evaluate information to support credit decisions.
• Communicate decisions and requirements professionally to customers.
• Use negotiation and influencing skills to achieve outcomes.
• Interact primarily by phone with high service standards.
• Accurately record and maintain customer information.
• Identify issues or discrepancies and escalate as needed.
• Comply with regulatory, compliance and data protection requirements.
• Maintain focus on accuracy, quality and customer experience.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the credit journey.
