Job summary

Depaul is recruiting a Deputy Manager for Cork Services, with travel to West Cork Service. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, 35 hours per week (Mon–Fri). Salary €46,669.91 per annum. You will report to a Project Group Manager and oversee day-to-day local management of service delivery across Cork.

You will manage staff, coordinate service processes, ensure health and safety, and contribute to broader organisational objectives while supporting clients with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in homelessness or related support roles.
• Experience in supervising staff and volunteers.
• Understanding of harm reduction approaches and client-centred care.
• Access to vehicle and willingness to travel to West Cork Service as required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager in day-to-day project operations and service delivery across Cork.
• Supervise and train staff; manage performance through probation and supervision.
• Oversee service-user processes, referrals, resettlement, and rota coverage.
• Work with LMT/PGM to ensure policies, health and safety standards are met.
• Contribute to fundraising, communications, and volunteering management as needed.
