Job summary

Depaul is seeking a Night Support Worker for West Cork Services. The role is a 12 month fixed-term contract, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of €37,631.88 per annum. The post involves night-time duties to support service users, ensure safety, and maintain a secure environment in West Cork.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to respond to service user needs, assist with medications, and uphold health and safety standards in line with Depaul policy.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year’s experience working in homelessness or related area.
• Level 5 QQI in social care or related area desirable.
• Manual handling qualification desirable.
• Understanding of harm reduction and low threshold working.
• Understanding of risk management principles.

Responsibilities

• Work with service users to build trust and manage difficult situations.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of communal areas and bathrooms.
• Provide night-time security and monitor building and surroundings.
• Staff reception area as needed.
• Support service users with high care needs and assist with medications as prescribed.
