Job summary

Dexcom Ireland is seeking a Controls Technician 3 to provide technical support for equipment engineers during scale-up of manufacturing for Dexcom products. You will help deploy, validate and transfer automated equipment with cross-functional teams and suppliers, ensuring equipment meets specifications and timelines.

The role requires a Level 6/7 qualification and 4–6 years of related experience, with a focus on safety, documentation, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Able to read, analyze and interpret engineering documents related to equipment specs.
• Proficient in writing routine reports and documentation.
• Experience with PLC and automated production equipment, pneumatics, and electro/mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with schematics, diagrams and defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting.
• Test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies using test equipment.
• Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment and vision systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Analyse and record test results and prepare written documentation.
• Carry out operational tests and fault isolation on automated systems and equipment.
• Assist with equipment development and testing of fixtures, processes and electronics under supervision.
